PANGAEA Objectives

PANGAEA’s mission will be accomplished by meeting the following five objectives by the end of 2009:

  • Increase utilization of available bandwidth by serving 100 customer locations.  Customer application focus will be health care, education, government and commercial.
  • The network will remain community owned and operated by receiving continued support from public and private partners.  Total funding will reach $3 million.
  • Achieve an annual revenue target of $400,000, which will support additional staff and meet capital investment requirements and expense obligations.
  • Contribute to e-NC’s goals by enabling public Internet access centers, digital literacy training, and website applications that support the community.
  • Lower the area’s overall cost of high speed bandwidth transport by 30%.
