2013 Community Impact Report
It has been an outstanding year for PANGAEA Internet.  We have grown 700% since 2006 and our network uptime is 99.995%!  Other notable milestones include:
  • The celebration of our 10th Anniversary and moving to a new office
  • Completing a mapping project of our entire fiber optic network
  • Releasing a new website and Facebook site
  • Launching a grant program and scholarship program
  • Receiving excellent testimonials and ratings from our Customer Satisfaction Survey

Grant Award Recipient:
Chop Shop Auto Parts
PANGAEA Internet has awarded its second grant to Chop Shop Auto Parts in Forest City.  The grant funds assisted with installation costs for PANGAEA’s “Speed of Light” fiber optic internet service.  We welcome Chop Shop to our growing list of satisfied customers.
Read more about this new program and submit an application on the Grant Application page of our new website.

Business After Hours
PANGAEA Internet hosted the Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours in November.  The event was a success and we wish to thank those who were able to attend and also Janet Sciacca, Executive Director of the Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce in Tryon.

Scholarship Program
The PANGAEA Internet Board of Directors in partnership with Isothermal Community College in Spindale, has recently launched a scholarship program. PANGAEA relies on local technical support and understands the need to train the local workforce to meet the fast changing requirements of the internet age. This scholarship is consistent with PANGAEA’s nonprofit mission to deliver affordable and reliable connectivity services for our region that will accelerate economic development and improve quality of life while expanding access into underserved areas.
To learn more about this program, contact Isothermal Community College.
